REGISTRATION FOR MAY/JUNE, 2022 ELECTRICAL WIRING EXAMINATIONS

lodgoThe Energy Commission announces for the information of the general public, particularly prospective electricians that registration for the May/June, 2022 Electrical Wiring Certification Examinations has begun.

Regulation 7 of the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 2011 (L.I. 2008) states: “A person shall not undertake electrical wiring on premises unless that person is certified by ... the Energy Commission ....”.

All persons interested or engaged in electrical wiring installation jobs in Ghana are encouraged to apply and sit for the examinations to get certified by the Commission.

Examination Fees are as follows:
Electricians
• Domestic Class: GHS 450.00
• Commercial Class: GHS 580.00
• Industrial Class: GHS 720.00

Inspectors
• Certified Electrical Wiring Professional-Inspector (CEWP-I): GHS 470.00
• Certified Electrical Wiring Inspector (CEWI): GHS 780.00

Mode of Payment
Applicants may pay Registration Fees at any GCB Bank as follows:

Applications can be done online at www.energycom.gov.gh or offline by downloading the Application Form here, completing and submitting between 8:00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. every weekday at any of the Energy Commission’s offices nationwide as follows:
