This component of the project plans to establish institutional clean cookstoves demonstration sites that will demonstrate all the positive attributes from the Chinese experience on the successful development, operation and maintenance of clean cookstoves. The project seeks to promote institutional improved cooking stoves by deploying the technology in second-cycle educational institutions in southern Ghana. It is expected that locally modified technologies will be matched against Chinese clean cookstoves technologies and implemented during the period.
Prefeasibility studies for this project was conducted by CREK and CSIR-IIR. CREK focused on the Northern Sector whilst CSIR-IIR explored intervention in the Eastern Region.
