IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ENERGY COMMISSION (EFFICIENCY STANDARDS AND LABELING) (LIGHT EMITTING DIODE AND SELF-BALLASTED FLOURESCENT LAMPS) REGULATIONS, 2017 (L.I. 2353)
- The Energy Commission wishes to alert all importers of lighting appliances that enforcement of the provisions of the Energy Commission (Efficiency Standards and Labeling) (Light Emitting Diode and Self-Ballasted Fluorescent Lamps) Regulations, 2017 (L.I. 2353) is ongoing. Importers are to note that failure to comply with this rule will result in a rejection of their consignments on the Ghana Community Network (GCNet) eMDA portal leading to delays in clearing or detention of the goods at the Port.
- Effective Tuesday, 01 October, 2019, all requests for approval for Energy Efficiency Ratings for imports in compliance with the Energy Efficiency Standards and Labelling (Non-ducted Air Conditioners and Self-Ballasted Fluorescent Lamps) Regulations, 2005, (L.I. 1815) and also L.I. 2353 will be rejected on the GCNet eMDA portal if the relevant test reports are not submitted.
